BACK ON TRACK by Christine K. Zarb
Well, it sure seems like an eternity since I last wrote this column. In just a few weeks the world came to a stand-still and then, inexorably, resumed it’s beat. Since then, however, many things have changed. Yet here we are, with this year’s sixth issue online. Due to the sad events that shook the US last September, we have decided to extend the publication of last month’s WGBH piece in the V-artist section, to give everyone the time to appreciate the content. In case you were wondering why we’re a fortnight late, let me tell you. We’ve been working on some exciting new features that will make VRmag even more appealing. First, we have two exciting stories about the Italian singer Mina. The media-shy celebrity, invited us to shoot a virtual tour to her recording studio. The ensuing articles are bilingual, a VRmag first, aimed at our Italian-speaking audience. Secondly, we are going to add an extra feature story, in the first week of November, advising of a new, top secret media event. Thirdly, we are developing the dynamic version of VRmag, which will be online as of our November issue. So stay tuned for all the novelties! In our short time on the Web, we’ve had an increasing number of requests from contributors. I would like to thank you all for the interest in VRmag, particularly those of you who have submitted your work and ideas for publication. This month we published two Day Trips supported by VRs of Phoenix and the surrounding desert, but stay tuned for more exiting new input in the coming issues. A special thanks also to Doug De Rusha from Squamish Media Group, for his precious collaboration on the WGBH story. Working with everyone as been a positive experience, Your active input and participation can only help VRmag grow — so keep sending us the good stuff! | | | | The purpose of this banner is to raise funds for a new VR community project VRMag will launch in a few months. | |
