CASE STUDY: PRODUCTION OF AROUNDER MILAN

When VRWAY received the contract for Arounder Milan the team immediately felt that this could truly be a special project, given the beauty and historical significance of the subject matter, and that this would require making the panoramas available in technology formats that would appeal to both those with high bandwidth and a desire to view the panos in incredible detail, as well as curious web surfers who might only have dial-up connections.

Marco Trezzini has written an extensive case study on the production process, covering everything from the various shoots, the equipment and software used to postproduction and sound production. It also includes some of the various technical challenges and scheduling problems encountered in this large scale production.

Arounder Milan required an incredible effort from a small group of people, as well as those who kindly volunteered their time and/or products to the effort, and the case study makes note of these people and their contributions.
