What: Two days before the French referendum on the European Constitution, German Chancellor Schroeder (Social Democrat) stands before a group of people, with Dominique Strauss-Kahn ((Partie Socialiste), Jean-Michel Baylet (Parti Radical de Gauche) and Kader Arif (PS) at his side to defend the future constitution before the referendum on the 29th of May. Meanwhile, in the French city of Lille, the president of the Spanish government Jose Luis Zapatero and Martine Aubry (PS) and François Hollande (first secretary of PS) were also standing together.

When: Friday May 27th from 19:30 to 22:30

Why: “I believe that panoramic reporting is somewhere in between traditional press photography and video reporting and that this new visual support is becoming more important in its use in the online press sector”, Vidal states. “It’s perfectly adapted to the Internet and complimentary to all other media. It allows interactivity, which all other visualization formats do not have. It’s up to us to give it the importance it deserves!”

How: Canon EOS 20D, Sigma 8mm f4, monopod, Manfrotto 303SPH. The majority of images have been captured at f4 between 1/15 and 1/50 Sec at 400 iso. Vidal used PTGui to defish six images for each panorama, and used REALVIZ Stitcher to assemble the images.
