Although Doom 3 is not a sequel - it’s a remake of the original Doom – series fans will find familiar yet reimagined versions of monsters from Doom and Doom 2. Doom 3 is very impressive technically. The sound is great and the new 3D graphics engine used to generate the atmospheric and surprisingly lifelike environments are impressive and definitely rank Doom 3 up there as one of the best-looking games on the market. You feel as if you’re IN the game, albeit a game with a rather touch too dark environment. Once again I donned my photographer’s guise to shoot five panoramas inside the game, available in three formats: QTVR fullscreen (recommended), QTVR medium and Java.
On another note, we are happy to report that Panogames.com has been approached by some of the major gaming developers to do our ‘inside the game’ panoramas for new releases. We can’t reveal any more now but check back in 2006 to preview some exciting new titles! Hope 2006 will be a panoyear!....;)
