After leading the pack for laps 17 through 65, Peyton Sellers, driving car 16 for Bill McAnally Racing, was involved in an accident during lap 145, putting him out of the race and ending his hopes for the chequered flag and $111,453 in prize money.

Fellow teammate Eric Hardin, car 18, was forced to the pits on lap 180 for the rest of the evening with an electrical problem. Another team mate Brian Ickler, of car 20, finished the race in 8th while Andrew Myers won the event by taking the lead in lap 136 and holding on for a photo finish and his second win of the season.
