What: Homemade Goat Cheese, Apple, and Veggie PizzaIt seems there’s a blog for everything under the sun these days, and food blogs are extremely popular, with many of them offering up photos of the blogger’s daily dishes. There are many reasons people write blogs but it’s safe to say that people who maintain food blogs do so because they love food: the preparation, the presentation and the ingesting. Some are very serious and offer up gourmet recipes while others are more fun and whimsical, simply meant to share the love and joy of food. click here to view fullscreenRoger Howard offers visitors a simple style blog offering up a pano of his family’s dinner each evening; most of the meals are homemade and vegetarian. One in particular, his ‘Homemade Goat Cheese, Apple, and Veggie Pizza’ is mouthwatering enough to tempt me to go out and create it on my own – and that’s the ultimate test of the food blog. Here’s a sample: “Ahh, the pizza pie - infinite variability, always good. We ran some errands and then headed home for a bite. Trader Joe's cornmeal pizza crust was topped with a homemade tomato chipotle sauce, parmesan and goat cheese, roasted purple potato rounds, green apple slices, baby broccoli, artichoke hearts, garlic slivers, and, yes, veggie meatballs! “Oh, the decadence! “Oh, and Archie finally agreed to join the help for a meal, instead of eating his dinner in his golden perch.” Buon Appetito!
