Why: the "Mallos de Riglos" is a little mountain chain that is one of the favorite hotspots for climbers from all over the world.
Ignacio has been hired by Caiaragon.com to shoot a series of extreme panoramas and special events.

How/technical details: D2x and the 10.5mm
As he says: "The technique I used is the same that many of you apply to do the "pole" panos. The camera is placed on top of a monopod and it turns trying to "respect" the nodal point rule. I use a combination of items, as RRS to place the camera with the nodal point on the center of the monopod.

I choose the 10.5 because I want to get as much as possible detail from the little town on the bottom and achieve better quality than with the 8mm. I shoot 2 rows of 14 pictures to be sure that I did not miss a thing (I had no way to see that on the viewfinder). After some tests I found out that it works well to hang the monopod with some climbing material.

I'm happy because the camera turned quite fine and the stitching process was not too difficult. I needed only some work with the "nadir" shot".

Ignacio and Abaco Digital are offering professional services ranging from panoramic and spherical photography sold in various electronic formats (QTVR, Flash..) or in large prints (panoramic landscapes); licensing their stock photography database with many nature, landscapes and travel images; web design and programming, using the latest technologies (database, AJAX...); as well as Interactive presentations (CD-Roms, kiosks...).
