See if the MiG-21MF is leaking oil, please...
by Danica Gianola

Basic model of Polish air forces in the last quarter of the 20th century, the MiG-21MF had just been added to Krakov's aviation museum, when Zbooy took the bubble.

Photographer: Szymon "Zbooy" Madej of Panoramy.zbooy.pl.

What: Inside view of a MiG-21MF aircraft engine.

Where: Polish Aviation Museum, Kraków.

When: June 2007.

Why: Zbooy lives a short walk from what - until the 50s - was the city airport. Today, the hangars host a museum and the landing strips are used for air-shows. Zbooy was attending one of the events and was attracted by the MiG-21MF, which was a new addition to the museum's collection.

Technical Details: EOS 5D with a Canon 15 mm fisheye, Manfrotto tripod with a Nodal Ninja 3 head, PTGui Pro for stitching. 6 shots around + zenith. Nadir was patched in PS.

Szymon "Zbooy" Madej is a 37 years old head webmaster for a major Polish commercial radio. Addicted to photography since 1980, he started panoramizing in 2001 and - in 2005 - switched to spherical technologies. Panography is his hobby but he occasionally makes some money out of it, even though he said it's far from covering equipment expenses.
