The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Constructed almost entirely from carbon fiber, the stiff, lightweight SLR uses the latest F1-developed technologies. Under the long, sloping hood is a 5.5-liter/626-horsepower supercharged V-8 paired with a next-generation AMG five-speed automatic with SportShift R.

The side gills were inspired by the original SLR of 1955 (a car that won the Mille Miglia that year). The LEDs within the taillights are a slightly more modern styling element.
