HENNING KRAMER OF X60 ABOUT THE MK PANOMACHINE A new motorized pan head. by Henning Kramer Henning Kramer of x360.de on the MK-Panomachine 3.1 and its new tripod head.Henning Kramer is the owner of the company x360.de, which is specialized in prints and postcards and located in Hamburg/ Germany. Large format and highest quality are the elements of his shots, which are sold all around Germany and Europe. Since Henning is one of the first owners of the product, he reviewed the MK-Panomachine 3.1. for VRMag. Henning: We usually work with the analog ROUNDSHOT Super 220 VR, ROUNDSHOT 28/220 and the digital ROUNDSHOT VR-Drive as well as with a Noblex 150, Hasselblad X-Pan and a Linhof 6x17. One of our latest acquisitions was by the end of 2007 the MK PanoMachine 3.1. We used the MK-Panomachine 3.1. for street scenes where there is a lot of motion, since the MK-Panomachine 3.1. motor turns quickly and triggers the camera positioned without stopping. Thanks to its fast speed it is feasible to photograph street scenes, city life, people, dynamic landscapes etc. in high quality, without investing into expensive technology and having even more expenses in post production. At the highest speed the PanoMachine spins full circle in 3 seconds and makes up to 9 single shots. The time-lapse function is inspiring and we just built up a project. Actually, the MK-Panomachine 3.1. is the right tool to make time lapse video and time lapse photography. The possibilities are endless: you can make a time-lapse movie for example from one position, moving around 360° or follow the position of the sun. Everything is possible. I was a guest at a panorama meeting last October at MK Panoramia Systeme. I spoke with the developer Dr. Harald Gorr for a long while. I could tell him my wishes and he took notes! This spring, MK Panorama Systeme, Germany launched with the new MK PanoHead a fine mechanical precision and high-quality 360° panorama tripod on the world market, with outstanding features which are complimentary to the Panomachine. Its features include: 360° panoramic plate with pre adjustable scale and integrated circular bubble Mount the MK PanoHead bracket alternatively on the Manfrotto MA 300 N or a 360° plate of your choice Tilt up and down + / - 90° exactly in the nodal point (click-stops each 15°) The MK PanoHead allows the use of heavy digital SLR cameras and medium format camerasI am one of the first owners of both technologies and I am very happy with the new working tools, since I only use technology, which impresses me, for the best picture's quality.
