PANORAMA TOOLS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP, VENICE, AUGUST 4-7, 2005 by Michelle Bienias The third edition of the Panotools Meeting, which is usually hosted for free from a university, will be held this summer, August 4-7, 2005, in Venice, Italy.Corinna Jacobs, who wrote the informative Interactive Panoramas: Techniques for Digital Panoramic Photography, is helping to organize the VR meeting and workshop in Venice this summer, along with Luca Vascon (from the University of Venice) and other volunteers. Some of the VRMag team will be attending, along with Hans Nyberg of panoramas.dk, and we hope to meet up with new and old friends and readers. “The technology of interactive panoramas is subject to constant development and the actual state of this development is - amongst other topics - part of the workshop,” explains Jacobs. “Let’s exchange experiences in the production of interactive images from A to Z; from gearing up and setting up a VR shooting to post processing the images and finally to the presentation of the images with various media. Producing, presenting and marketing interactive VR Images are the key issues of this workshop. Let’s work together and make this art and industry the future marketing tool of choice.” Date: Thursday, August 4th until Sunday, August 7th, 2005 Location: Venice, Italy University of Venice, Faculty of Arts & Design, Dorsorduro 1827, 30123 Venice.
